Ride Log #18 @ The Coed-Y-Brenin weekend September 2004

Back

This was the first time we had ventured as far north as Coed-Y-Brenin, after much delibiration we decided to start the weekend with the Karrimor trail - in hindsight this may have been a bit too much for some of the more inexperienced riders but we all completed it, which is a real credit to all as it turned out to be a bit of a grueler.
The second day we split in to two groups, one did the fun route just to stretch their legs out and ease their sore 'derriers' back in to the saddle - and my group did the MBR route - OH MY GOD it was fantastic, the best singletrack/drop offs/jumps I've ever ridden. The route was so well designed I found myself full of confidence and riding technical rooted/rutted sections faster than ever before.

The whole experience was a memorable one and the routes are just perfect, I can safely say that I will be returning again to complete the remaining rides and maybe treat myself to the MBR experience once again.
