This was a ride I had taken out from an old issue of MBR, it looked quite promising on paper! with quite a challenging contour profile. Gray's workmate John came along with us again (he has been on the last couple we did at Ashton Court).
The ride started with an impossible uphill followed by a road stretch and then on to some more impossible uphill sections, more roads and then for the last 3-4 miles there were actually some quite nice single track sections.
Overall the ride was OK but there was far too much road riding for my liking and some of the hills would have been impossible to ride up even on a dry summers day. I probably wont be doing this ride again! but hey' you can't knock it unless you've tried it!!.
Still, the ride might not have been the best ever but it gave us some more training for the Salisbury Plain challenge we're doing on the 6th December.
